Feltline · Wool felt
A desk mat cut from a single sheet of wool felt.
Five millimetres of pressed wool felt — one dense sheet, not foam under a fabric face. It gives a keyboard and mouse a quiet, slightly cushioned surface, and keeps a wooden desk free of scuffs and cup rings.

5 mm pressed wool felt · keyboard + mouse, side by side · wipe clean
The felt
One dense sheet. Not a foam pad with a fabric face.
Most desk mats are a slab of foam wearing a thin cloth cover — and a cover is the first thing to peel. This is the other thing: a single piece of pressed wool felt, 5 mm thick, with nothing laminated to it.
It reads as one quiet plane across the desk. A keyboard and mouse land softer, typing and clicking go quieter, and the wood underneath stops collecting scuffs and cup rings. When something spills, it sits on the surface long enough to wipe away before it soaks in.
What the sheet does
- 5 mm pressed wool felt — one dense sheet, not foam under a fabric face
- A quiet, slightly cushioned bed for a keyboard and mouse
- Keeps a wooden desk free of scuffs and cup rings
- Solid felt, so there is no laminated edge to peel or fray
- Wide enough for a full keyboard and mouse, side by side
- Lies flat — the corners do not curl
- A spill wipes off the surface before it soaks in
- The underside grips a smooth desk — no rubber backing needed
On the desk
A working surface that stays quiet and stays put.
The underside grips a smooth desk on its own — no rubber backing, no double-sided tape — so it holds its position through a day of shoving the keyboard around.
Under the keyboard
A slightly cushioned bed dampens the hard tap of board against wood, so typing reads as a softer, lower sound.
Under the mouse
A consistent felt surface the full width of the mat — keyboard and mouse sit side by side, no separate pad to chase.
For the desk
Wool felt between hardware and timber keeps the surface clear of scuffs and cup rings, the marks a bare desk earns over a year.
When it spills
Coffee and water bead and sit on top long enough to lift with a cloth, rather than wicking straight into the desk.
The idea
Bare, the desk is a hard plane that marks easily. Lay one sheet of felt across it, and the whole working surface goes quiet, soft, and protected.
Solid felt vs a foam pad
Why a solid sheet outlasts the usual cushioned pad.

The cover
Honest about what is covered, and what isn’t.
If it arrives damaged, faulty, or the wrong item — send a photo through the chat button in the corner and we approve a full refund or a free replacement, with nothing to send back. Faults are covered for 30 days. If tracking shows it lost in transit, we refund or reship — your choice.
Because orders ship from an overseas warehouse, change-of-mind returns aren’t offered — we’d rather say so plainly than surprise you later.
How long does shipping take?
It ships from our overseas warehouse and most orders arrive in 7 to 20 days, with free shipping. A tracking number is emailed when it ships.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send a photo through the chat button in the corner and we approve a full refund or a free replacement, with nothing to send back.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Because orders ship from an overseas warehouse we can't take change-of-mind returns, so the item is yours to keep. We'd rather be upfront about that.
Who is behind the store?
It's operated from Australia, in conjunction with global suppliers. Questions are handled by the chat button in the corner on any page.
About Feltline
A small range of felt goods for the desk.
Feltline is operated from Australia, in conjunction with global suppliers. The idea is narrow on purpose: pick one honest material — pressed wool felt — and make the few desk pieces it is genuinely good for, starting with the mat the whole surface sits on.
Shipping from an overseas warehouse is how the price stays at $39.00 with tracking included. Anything about an order — tracking, a fault, a refund — goes through the chat button in the corner.
